For our last lick, I want to briefly talk about octaves. The use of octaves is often overlooked by guitarists. In this idea, we simply walk up the B minor pentatonic using octaves to get a slippery, sliding, almost confusing version of our beloved minor pentatonic scale. Notice how each lower octave note contains a slide which can help you slide through each position with ease. You can also try reversing this one: have the high octave slide instead of the low one!
