Based on C# natural minor. The wide interval leaps and repetition help disguise the ‘normal’ sound of the scale. There is also a special synergy with the the rhythm section. The band is landing on the “a” of “4” every time and the guitar melody recognizes this and plays off of it. 

Before writing a guitar solo, it is imperative that the composer looks for opportunities from his fellow bandmates. So, go back to counting. Go back to critical listening. Your creativity will soar! Then work on this melody.
